Author Guidelines
Submission Guidelines for Loquēla Journal
Articles submitted to the journal should typically be between 4,000 to 7,000 words or 10-17 pages, single-spaced. Each article must include an abstract of no more than 300 words that highlights the importance of the topic, the gap between theory and practice, or reality and expectation, the objectives of the study, the method, the findings, and the conclusion.
In the abstract, explicitly format the following sections in bold: Introduction, Objectives, Methods, Findings, and Conclusion.
The journal follows a peer review process and promotes blind reviewing. To facilitate this, authors' names (without academic titles), institutional affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author should appear only on a detachable cover sheet.
Authors are required to include a short CV (no more than 80 words) describing their current position and activities.
Articles should be written in English, single-spaced, using Cambria, size 11, with margins of 3 cm (top and left), and 2.54 cm (bottom and right). The articles must be formatted in Letter size.
A header should be included on even-numbered pages indicating the journal name, volume, issue number, month, and year, as well as the page number. On odd-numbered pages, the year of publication and the author's name should be included.
The main text should be written in a single column format with a 1 cm first-line indent, except for the first paragraph after the title and the first paragraph after each subheading, which should not be indented.
The title should be less than 12 words, fully capitalized, centered, and use a font size of 12.
The Introduction should be written in paragraph form (not bullet points) and should take up 15-20% of the total article length.
The Method section should describe the research design, data sources, data collection, and data analysis, and should make up 10-15% of the total article length. This should also be presented in paragraphs, not bullet points.
The Findings and Discussion section should address the results of the data analysis in relation to the research questions and should be 40-60% of the total article length. This section should include references to relevant theories and literature.
The Conclusion section should summarize the key findings and restate the study’s major conclusions.
When using tables, include only horizontal lines. The table number and title should be placed above the table.
All sources cited in the article must appear in the reference list, and every source listed in the references must be cited in the text. At least 80% of the sources cited should have been published in the last 10 years. Citations should prioritize primary sources such as journal articles, books, and research reports, including theses and dissertations. 80% of the references should be journal articles.
Citations should be in parentheses with the author's last name and the publication year. If quoting directly, include the page number (e.g., p. 78 or pp. 78-89).
Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author for corrections and must be returned to loquela.smarteducenter@gmail.com by the specified deadline.
