Self-Archiving (Repository Policy)
Loquēla (Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Education) fully supports open access principles and encourages authors to share their work widely. Authors are allowed to archive versions of their manuscripts at various stages of the publication process without any embargo. This policy ensures that research is freely accessible to the global community while maintaining proper attribution to the journal.
1. Pre-print Archiving:
Authors may archive the pre-print version of their manuscript (the version submitted before peer review) in any institutional or personal repository, or on academic sharing platforms such as arXiv or ResearchGate. There are no restrictions or embargo on archiving the pre-print version. Authors are encouraged to include the following statement: "This is a pre-print version that has been submitted to Loquēla (Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Education) for review and may be subject to changes following peer review."
2. Post-print Archiving:
Authors may archive the post-print version (the peer-reviewed version but not yet formatted by the journal) in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other platforms. There is no embargo period. Authors should include the following citation: "This is the accepted version of the article published in Loquēla. The final version is available at [insert DOI link]."
3. Publisher's Version Archiving:
Authors are also permitted to archive the final, formatted version (the version of record) immediately after publication in institutional repositories or personal websites. The citation must include a link to the final version in Loquēla, such as: "This is the final version of the article published in Loquēla (Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Education). The article is available at [insert DOI link]."
4. Conditions of Self-Archiving:
When archiving any version of the manuscript (pre-print, post-print, or publisher's version), authors must:
- Include appropriate attribution to Loquēla as the original publisher.
- Provide a DOI link to the final published version once it is available, ensuring proper citation and reference to the journal.
- For pre-print versions, clearly state that the manuscript is under review and may change following peer review.
