Copyright and Licensing

Loquēla (Journal of Linguistics, Literature, and Education) upholds a liberal copyright and licensing policy that empowers authors to retain full copyright over their work while allowing for broad distribution and reuse. Upon acceptance and publication in this journal, authors agree to the following terms:

1. Copyright Ownership:
Authors retain the copyright to their articles. By submitting to Loquēla, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the work and distribute it while identifying the journal as the original publisher.

2. Licensing Terms:
Articles published in Loquēla are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. This license allows others to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.
  • Conditions — Attribution must be given to the original author, and any derivative works must be shared under the same license.

By utilizing the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, Loquēla ensures that research is freely accessible and can be widely distributed while maintaining proper attribution to the authors.

3. Self-Archiving Policy:
Authors are permitted to archive the pre-print or post-print version of their articles in personal or institutional repositories immediately after publication, provided that a link to the final published version in Loquēla is included.

4. Retraction and Correction Policy:
In the event of significant errors or ethical violations, Loquēla reserves the right to retract or correct articles. A public notice of retraction or correction will be issued, and the article will be marked accordingly in the journal's archive.
